WICK TABS -You will find that these are already applied to most of our wicks, however to re-use a portion of the cropped wick, then simply reapply these to create another tabbed wick...Wick tabs come in various sizes and shapes and it is here that we will explain the differences, the 15mm and 20mm refers to the base diameter and it makes little difference on either or, however if you are making tea light candles, then select the 15mm base, but for more secure anchoring then the 20mm will achieve this as it will hold more glue or a larger wick stickum. The next variable is the neck height, of which we have 3.8mm or 6.0mm, this will determine how soon the flame stops and it is often referred to as a safety cut-off, so the larger the neck height will cease burning earlier than the 3.8mm. We refer to the 3.8mm as standard safety and the 6.0mm as long and extra safe. Finally the last variable is the hole diameter and these come in either 2.4mm or 3.0mm, so its simply a matter of wick thickness as to what wicks will fit into the 2.4mm, as a guide use the 2.4mm hole for CDN (stabilo) from size 12 and lower and use 2.4mm for HTP 52 and lower, for all larger wicks, use the 3.0mm diameter hole.
