A common question asked is what is the difference between Soy Pillar Waxes and Soy Container Waxes and the simple answer is that Soy Pillar Waxes are in general harder and are designed to shrink during the cooling process, this allows the product to release from the mould, also being harder than Soy Container Waxes, Soy Pillar Waxes are designed to be out of a container and free standing, whereas Soy Container waxes are softer and need to be placed into a container and it is here that they will remain. If you try and use a Soy container wax in a pillar mould then you will not be able to release the soy wax from the mould, on the other hand to use a Soy Pillar Wax in a container will lead to the wax shrinking and rattling around and in some circumstances the wax will fall out of the container if turned upside down.
