PALM WAX (CONTAINER BLEND) - We currently have one type of palm wax for making container candles with and thats the Lava. This has proved to be a very popular natural wax for making any candles in tins, glassware and containers.... The Palm Wax Lava got its name form the volcanic look that it exhibits, it will create a beautiful crystal structure and is very effective when used in clear glassware. Please note this wax will not shrink and cannot be used in pillar moulds.There has been quite a bit of press lately about the destruction of rainforests in South-east Asia, home to some of the most bio-diverse ecosystems in the world, with the threat of losing these forests and destroying the livelihood of native people, orangutang, Sumatran tiger populations and other important wildlife. When we set out to find palm wax, we were not prepared to stock any waxes that were involved in such destruction of the environment and we knew you would it would not be acceptable to you either, so after many many months of research, phone calls, meetings,and South East Asia trips, we have partnered with a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil. This organization was founded by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and heads of government and industry involved in palm cultivation. The RSPO was founded to develop and define best practices for sustainable palm cultivation, and protection of the environment.
