Soy Waxes
Our partnership with Ecosoya -When we first set out to stock a line of soy waxes, the selection of was very important to us. We began a series of lengthy tests and in the end we were totally convinced that by far the worlds best soy waxes came from a company called Ngiwax in the USA. Natural Candle Supply is the exclusive agent for Ecosoya in Australia and New Zealand.
The making of soy wax -Soy Wax commences with soybeans from which the oil is separated. This oil is then purified to give pristine soybean oil which then goes through a process called hydrogenation turning it into a solid. Unlike other vegetable or soy waxes on the market, EcoSoya waxes are 100% vegetable, guaranteed! There are no beeswax or petroleum products hidden in it. Depending on the blend there may be a small amount of vegetable botanical oils added to give the waxes their unparalleled characteristics and performances. These ingredients are processed under close supervision with careful regard for secrecy. Only a select few people know the actual ingredients. Every ingredient has met with the approval of the United States Food and Drug Administration and Kosher Certification criteria.
Why Ecosoya is the better choice -
-Biodegradable and free from pesticides, herbicides
-Contain no genetically modified material
-Manufactured using pure soy beans and contain no petroleum (paraffin waxes)
-Manufactured according to sustainability and renewable resource management
-Clean up with hot water and soap elimintating the need for harsh solvents.
- Every pound of wax is analyzed in a state of the art laboratory to assure its quality. Only after receiving a Certificate of Analysis guaranteeing a high, consistent standards does any wax leave the plant. Although we would like to call the wax organic, by process of the change from liquid to wax state this rules out the clasification, what we can say is that if you are looking for an Eco-friendly wax then our waxes are the global leader in this field. If you want a premium soy candle, then the only choice is Ecosoya.
Selecting the correct Soy Wax- We are often asked which soy wax to use, the answer is that for container candles such as tins, tea light or glassware then its a choice between CB 135 and CB Advanced, our preferred wax is the CB Advanced and this is due to its superior finish and stable long term shelf life, the CB 135 wax does work well in container candles, but you may find the surface finish to be not so smooth and creamy and also with time the surface finish on CB 135 can develop a frosting type look, whereas the CB Advanced is resistant to frosting. In our Soy waxes, you will have the choice of either Container/Tea Light Blends or Pillar/Votive Blends.
Container and Tea Light Blends - This wax is one and the same and can be used only in container type products. If you pour this wax into a container and then try and take the wax mould out to burn free standing then it will not hold its shape and the molten wax will run, so for this reason alone it is designed for use in containers. It also has minimal shrinkage so once you pour it into a tea light or container then it should stick well to the outside surface.
Pillar and Votive Blends - These are a harder wax, designed to be free standing, as such you can make either pillar candles or votives with this. This wax is not suitable as a container candle because the wax will shrink as it cools and therefore free itself from the container wall leading to rattle.

Palm Waxes
Care for the environment -
There has been quite a bit of press lately about the destruction of rainforests in South-east Asia, home to some of the most bio-diverse ecosystems in the world, with the threat of losing these forests and destroying the livelihood of native people, orangutang, Sumatran tiger populations and other important wildlife. When we set out to find palm wax, we were not prepared to stock any waxes that were involved in such destruction of the environment and we knew you would it would not be acceptable to you either, so after many many months of research, phone calls, meetings, and South East Asia trips, we have partnered with a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil. This organization was founded by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and heads of government and industry involved in palm cultivation. The RSPO was founded to develop and define best practices for sustainable palm cultivation, and protection of the environment. If you are looking for an enviromentally responsible, non GM palm wax, then our range is what you need.
The making of Palm Wax -
The palm tree produces fruits in bunches which are harvested and sent to palm oil mills to undergo sterilization, bunch stripping, oil extraction, oil clarification and purification (the palm kernel has one of the highest oil contents of any plant, so a lot of wax can be grown in a small amount of space). This crude palm oil is then further processed to removal the fatty free acids and colouring (the quality of oil is food grade). The Refined palm oil then undergoes fractionation by which Palm Olein and Palm Stearin are produced and these in turn can be further fractionated to obtain specialized products including Palm Waxes. All of our palm waxes are made from a 100% natural palm oil based raw materials. The various blends of palm waxes are naturally made/formulated from the many fractions of palm oil leading to exciting and different crystal structures. The crystal structure is formed by the differing rate of solidification of the palm fats.
Why our Palm Waxes are the better choice
-The Palm Waxes / Palm Wax Candles are ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
-All of our palm waxes are Non GM modified
-Wide application in Aromatherapy, with excellent compatibility with fragrance and essential oils.
-One of the hardest Natural Waxes meaning it ships well in all climates
-All Natural and 100% palm oil based -During Solidification form an amazing pattern of crystal structures.
Selecting the correct Palm Wax-In our Palm waxes, you will have the choice of either Container/Tea Light Blends or Pillar/Votive Blends.
