Pillar Moulds (seamless)-

These moulds are called seamless as they have no joins in the outer structure and therefore will make candles of the highest quality. When crafting Pillar candles, it is important that you only use Pillar waxes, as these are designed to shrink a little and therefore will release from the mould, if you use another blend it is quite possible that the solid wax will become stuck in the mould.
Pillar candles can be fragranced and coloured just like any other candle and you can see the many different shades of colour by clicking on any of the small images in our dye chip section . You will notice that the round moulds are available in either Flat top or Concave top, this refers to the finish at the top of the candle only and is of personal preference. Votive Moulds -

Votive moulds are for use to make votive candles, the difference between a votive candle and a pillar candle is that votive candles must be burnt in a holder such as our special votive glasses. Although you will find that generally you can use the same wax to make pillar candles as votive candles, the difference is that the wick and shape of the votive candle will result in wax melting and flowing over the side and therefore a holder is essential.
We currently offer 2 types of votive moulds, being either straight top or flared top. The difference here is only is appearance and the flared top roll over slightly.
Accessories -

Wick pins - Essential to ensure that space is reserved for the wick after pouring. The technique being that the votive or wicks pin is secured in place before the molten wax is poured in and left in place until the wax solidifies. Special Shapes - Tart moulds - Used to make the popular melts for use in oil burners. The preferred wax to make melts is the pillar blends range of waxes, simply melt the waxes, add fragrance and pour into the mould
